Your crypto. Your keys. One money picture.
Bank AI is the third pillar of one money app: cash, investments and crypto. Track Bitcoin, Ethereum and the largest coins across every exchange and wallet you already use, alongside your banks and brokers. When you want to add to a position, the on-ramp runs through licensed partners. Bank AI itself never custodies your crypto. Your keys stay yours.

Crypto-asset values can fluctuate widely. You may lose some or all of the amount you invest. Past performance is not a guide to future performance. Bank AI is not a regulated crypto-asset service provider; it provides aggregation, an embedded non-custodial wallet, and a connection to third-party licensed on-ramp and off-ramp partners. The information on this page is marketing communication. It is not investment, tax or legal advice.
Why crypto belongs in your money app
Most crypto apps stop at the exchange wall. Most money apps stop at the bank wall. Bank AI is built to see across all three pillars - cash, investments, crypto - so the AI can give you advice that actually reflects your money, not a slice of it.
Non-custodial by design
Crypto you buy through Bank AI lands in an embedded non-custodial wallet that uses MPC (multi-party computation) under the hood. You own the keys, we own the UX. Bank AI never holds customer crypto and is not a custodian under MiCA.
Licensed on-ramp and off-ramp
Buying and selling runs through licensed partners such as MoonPay and Ramp Network at launch. The KYC and the regulatory umbrella sit with the partner - they are MiCA-registered CASPs in the EU and FCA-registered cryptoasset firms in the UK. Bank AI is the surface, not the licensee.
Crypto in context, not in isolation
Your Bitcoin sits next to your current account, your ISA, your PEA and your pension. The AI can answer 'how much of my net worth is in crypto', 'show my unrealised gains across exchanges' and 'rebalance my equity-to-crypto ratio' - because it sees everything.
Custody model: your keys, your coins
Custody is the most important question to get right in crypto, and the easiest one to be honest about. Bank AI is non-custodial. Here is what that means in practice.
Embedded MPC wallet
When you create a crypto account in Bank AI, an embedded wallet is provisioned to your account using multi-party computation. The signing key is split across shares - one held by you, one accessible only via your authentication, one held by an independent provider. No single party (including Bank AI) can move funds alone.
Bank AI never sees the full key
Bank AI servers never have access to a complete private key. We cannot move your crypto. We cannot freeze your wallet. We cannot recover funds you sent to the wrong address. This is non-custody by architecture, not by promise.
Recovery without seed phrases
Wallet recovery is built around your authenticated identity - email, device, social recovery factors - not a 24-word seed phrase. Same UX as a normal app, with the security guarantees of a non-custodial wallet underneath.
Read-only for exchanges and external wallets
Crypto held on third-party exchanges (Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Bitpanda, Crypto.com) is read into Bank AI through the exchange's read-only API. We never get withdrawal permission. Self-custody wallets (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Ledger) connect read-only via WalletConnect or xpub.
Buy and sell through licensed partners
Bank AI is not a crypto-asset service provider and does not execute trades on its own books. The on-ramp and off-ramp - moving fiat to crypto and back - is delivered through partners that hold the relevant licences in every market we serve.
MoonPay (planned launch partner)
MoonPay is a MiCA-registered CASP in the EU and a registered cryptoasset firm with the FCA in the UK. Coverage spans the UK, EU/EEA, the US and 70+ countries; payment rails include card, SEPA, Faster Payments and Apple/Google Pay. Bank AI plans to integrate MoonPay's on-ramp and off-ramp at launch.
Ramp Network (planned launch partner)
Ramp Network is a registered VASP in the EU under MiCA and a registered cryptoasset firm with the FCA in the UK. Bank AI plans to integrate Ramp's fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat flows alongside MoonPay so users get the best execution by region and payment method.
Where the regulatory umbrella sits
When you buy crypto through Bank AI, the partner is the contractual counterparty for the fiat conversion. Their MiCA / FCA registration, their AML and KYC obligations, and their consumer-protection rules apply to that flow. Bank AI is the user-facing surface; the licensee is the partner.
Pre-launch disclosure
We are still in development and have not yet signed final commercial agreements with any on-ramp partner. The intention is to ship with both MoonPay and Ramp Network so users can pick by region and payment rail. We will name the partner in-app at the moment of execution.

Ask Bank AI about your crypto
Bank AI sees crypto positions across every connected exchange and wallet, in your home currency. Combine that with cash and brokerage data and the AI can answer the questions a multi-pillar holder actually asks:
How much of my net worth is in crypto right now?
What is my total Bitcoin exposure across Binance, Coinbase and my Ledger?
How have my unrealised crypto gains moved since the start of the year?
Show my equity-to-crypto allocation and how far it is from my target.
How much have I spent on crypto on-ramp fees in the last 12 months?
Which exchange is currently holding the largest share of my crypto?
Crypto FAQ
Is Bank AI a crypto exchange?
No. Bank AI is a money app, not an exchange. We do not run an order book and we do not execute trades on our own books. Buying and selling crypto in Bank AI runs through licensed on-ramp and off-ramp partners - MoonPay and Ramp Network at launch - that hold the relevant CASP / FCA registrations in the markets where Bank AI operates.
Does Bank AI custody my crypto?
No. Bank AI is non-custodial by architecture. Crypto you hold inside Bank AI sits in an embedded MPC wallet where you own the keys; Bank AI never holds a complete private key and cannot move your funds. Crypto held on a third-party exchange or self-custody wallet is read into Bank AI through read-only API access - we never get withdrawal permission. Bank AI is not a custodian under MiCA.
How do I buy crypto through Bank AI?
When the on-ramp launches, you pick the amount in fiat (GBP, EUR), choose a payment method (card, SEPA, Faster Payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay) and confirm. The transaction is executed by a licensed on-ramp partner - MoonPay or Ramp Network - which is the regulated counterparty for the fiat-to-crypto conversion. The crypto is delivered to your embedded non-custodial wallet inside Bank AI. The partner appears explicitly at the moment of execution.
Which crypto exchanges and wallets does Bank AI connect to?
On the exchange side, Bank AI reads positions and balances from Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Bitpanda and Crypto.com via read-only API. On the self-custody side, MetaMask, Trust Wallet and the Coinbase Wallet connect via WalletConnect; Ledger and Trezor hardware wallets are tracked via xpub / extended-public-key. We do not ask any wallet to sign transactions on the user's behalf.
Which coins can I track in Bank AI?
Bank AI surfaces over 200 coins across the connected exchanges. The largest coins by market capitalisation - Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether (USDT), XRP, BNB, Solana, USDC, Cardano, Dogecoin and Tron - get a dedicated landing page each, with Bank AI's read coverage, supported wrappers and example AI questions. Stablecoins (USDT, USDC) are tracked alongside fiat in the same net-worth view so you see the real picture.
Is Bank AI MiCA-regulated?
Bank AI is not a CASP (crypto-asset service provider) under MiCA. We do not require MiCA registration because we do not custody crypto, we do not run an exchange, and we do not provide investment advice. The on-ramp / off-ramp partners that we integrate with - MoonPay and Ramp Network - are MiCA-registered CASPs in the EU and FCA-registered cryptoasset firms in the UK. Their licences cover the regulated parts of the flow.
How does Bank AI keep my embedded wallet secure?
The embedded wallet uses MPC (multi-party computation) so the signing key is split across shares - one held by you, one accessible only through your authentication, one held by an independent provider. No single party can move funds alone. Wallet recovery is built around authenticated identity (email, device, social recovery) rather than a 24-word seed phrase. The architecture is designed so that even a full Bank AI compromise cannot move customer funds.
What about hardware wallets (Ledger, Trezor)?
Hardware wallets are supported read-only. You add the extended public key (xpub) or, for newer Ledger devices, connect via Ledger Live. Bank AI surfaces the balances and on-chain transactions in your net-worth view; we never ask the device to sign anything. If you want to send from a hardware wallet, you keep using the device's normal flow.
What about taxes on crypto?
Bank AI is a money app, not a tax tool. We export your full transaction history (buys, sells, transfers, on-ramp fees) so you can hand it to a tax tool or accountant. Specialist tools like Koinly, CoinTracking and CoinLedger remain the right answer for capital-gains calculations. We do not provide tax advice; talk to a qualified adviser for your jurisdiction.
When does the on-ramp go live?
Bank AI is currently in closed preview. The crypto pillar - non-custodial wallet, exchange aggregation, on-ramp / off-ramp through partners - goes live with the launch product. The site disclaimer covers this: we are still in development and have not yet signed final commercial agreements with any partner. We will name the partner in-app at the moment of execution.
