Does Bank AI place trades on Coinbase?
No. Bank AI is read-only by design. We surface positions, USD/USDC balances, staking rewards and transaction history so you can see the picture, but every order continues to be placed inside Coinbase. We never move funds or place trades on your behalf.
How does Bank AI connect to Coinbase?
Bank AI uses licensed data and aggregation partners that read Coinbase via official, scoped API keys you provide. Read-only key permissions are enforced and withdrawal scopes are explicitly excluded.
Is my crypto held by Bank AI?
No. Bank AI is non-custodial and is NOT a CASP under MiCA. Custody continues to live with Coinbase Ireland (EU), Coinbase UK (FCA register) or your self-custody wallet, under their own permissions. Bank AI strictly aggregates the read-only view.
Are Coinbase staking rewards tracked?
Yes. ETH staking rewards (where Coinbase exposes them under MiCA in the EU) and USDC rewards are tagged separately as income flows so they don't get double-counted as realised price returns.
Does Bank AI calculate Irish, German or French crypto tax?
No. Bank AI surfaces the disposals, swaps and realised P&L that drive the tax calculation but the filing itself (Irish CGT 33 percent, German Spekulationssteuer one-year holding rule, French 30 percent flat tax on plus-values) is best handled in dedicated crypto-tax software.
Is my Coinbase data sent outside the EU?
No. Bank AI processes Coinbase data in EU regions by default, with AES-256 encryption and EU-region key management. Coinbase remains the custodian of your crypto and cash.
