Does Bank AI place trades on Kraken?
No. Bank AI is read-only by design. We surface positions, fiat balances, staking, Earn rewards and transaction history so you can see the picture, but every order continues to be placed inside Kraken. We never move funds or place trades on your behalf.
How does Bank AI connect to Kraken?
Bank AI uses licensed data and aggregation partners that read Kraken via official, scoped API keys you provide. Read-only key permissions are enforced — withdrawal and trading scopes are explicitly excluded.
Is Kraken a regulated EU crypto-asset service provider?
Kraken's EU customers use Payward Europe Solutions Limited, supervised by the Central Bank of Ireland and EU-passported. UK customers use Payward Ltd on the FCA cryptoasset register. MiCA CASP authorisation is in progress. Bank AI is NOT a CASP — custody and trading remain with Kraken under its own permissions.
Are Kraken Futures and margin balances tracked?
Where Kraken Futures balances are visible to the connector, notional exposure, margin and realised P&L are surfaced as separate sub-positions so the picture is honest about leverage. Kraken Pro spot is always covered; futures coverage depends on the connector mode and your account permissions.
Does Bank AI calculate UK or Irish crypto capital-gains tax?
No. Bank AI surfaces the disposals, swaps and realised P&L that drive the tax calculation but the filing itself (HMRC same-day / 30-day / section-104 pool rules in the UK; Irish CGT 33 percent) is best handled in dedicated crypto-tax software.
Is my Kraken data sent outside the EU?
No. Bank AI processes Kraken data in EU regions by default, with AES-256 encryption and EU-region key management. Kraken remains the custodian of your crypto and fiat.
