USDC is a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar. The peg can deviate in stress events; the issuer's reserve composition and redemption rights are governed by Circle's terms. This page is marketing communication; it is not investment, tax or legal advice.
What Bank AI surfaces from your USDC holdings
Stablecoins are tracked alongside fiat in your home-currency net worth so the dollar exposure is honest.
USDC across chains
USDC on Ethereum, Solana, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon and the other supported chains is summed into one USDC exposure with the FX-converted home-currency value.
Exchange vs. self-custody split
USDC held on Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, Bitpanda or Crypto.com is read separately from USDC in your MetaMask or Phantom, so the centralised-exchange exposure is clear.
Stablecoin sleeve in net worth
USDC plus other USD-pegged stablecoins are aggregated into a 'stablecoin sleeve' alongside your fiat cash so you see the real USD exposure across pillars.
Earn / staked USDC
Where exchanges or platforms expose Earn / staked USDC balances, the staked portion is tagged separately with its yield.

USD Coin (USDC) and Bank AI - frequently asked questions
Is USDC a safe place to hold dollars?
USDC is a regulated stablecoin issued by Circle, backed 1:1 by cash and short-dated US Treasuries with monthly attestations. The peg has historically held closely, but it is not a bank deposit and is not covered by FSCS, FDIC or equivalent. Bank AI surfaces USDC balances factually but does not endorse any particular stablecoin over another.
Why is the USDC balance shown across multiple chains?
USDC is natively issued on Ethereum, Solana, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon and several other chains. The same dollar of USDC can live on any of them. Bank AI reads each chain separately so you can see exactly where your USDC is.
Is USDC MiCA-compliant in the EU?
Circle holds an EMI licence in France that allows USDC to be offered to EU/EEA customers under MiCA's e-money-token framework. Specific availability depends on the venue. Bank AI surfaces whatever USDC balance the user actually holds at a connected venue.
Does Bank AI custody USDC?
No. USDC on a connected exchange is custodied by the exchange. USDC in your self-custody wallet stays under your control - Bank AI is read-only. USDC bought through the embedded wallet is held in your non-custodial MPC wallet; Bank AI never has access to the full key.
Are exchange Earn / staked USDC balances tracked?
Yes. Where the exchange exposes the Earn / staked balance via its API, it is read into Bank AI as a separate sub-balance with its yield, so the locked-up portion is clear.
Does Bank AI calculate tax on stablecoin movements?
No - Bank AI is a money app, not a tax tool. Stablecoin sells and crypto-to-stablecoin trades can be taxable events depending on your jurisdiction. We export the full transaction history so a specialist tool or your accountant can compute the right outcome.
