Does Bank AI place trades on Bitpanda?
No. Bank AI is read-only by design. We surface positions, recurring buys, staking rewards and transaction history so you can see the picture, but every order continues to be placed inside Bitpanda. We never move funds or place trades on your behalf.
Are Bitpanda Stocks and ETF positions tracked too?
Yes. Bitpanda's multi-asset model means a single wallet can hold crypto, fractional shares, ETFs and metals. Bank AI reads all of them and surfaces them as separate asset classes so allocation maths is honest.
How does Bank AI connect to Bitpanda?
Bank AI uses licensed data and aggregation partners that read Bitpanda via official, scoped API keys you provide. Read-only key permissions are enforced and withdrawal scopes are explicitly excluded.
Is Bitpanda a regulated EU crypto-asset service provider?
Yes. Bitpanda Asset Management is supervised by the Austrian FMA and Bitpanda holds MiCA CASP authorisation across the EU, plus BaFin / Banca d'Italia / CNMV registrations in member states. Bank AI is NOT a CASP — custody, on-ramp and trading remain with Bitpanda under its own permissions.
Does Bank AI calculate Austrian, German or Italian crypto tax?
No. Bank AI surfaces the disposals, recurring buys and realised P&L that drive the tax calculation but the filing itself (KESt / Spekulationssteuer / criptovalute reporting) is best handled in dedicated crypto-tax software or by Bitpanda's annual statement.
Is my Bitpanda data exported outside the EU?
No. Bank AI processes Bitpanda data in EU regions by default, with AES-256 encryption and EU-region key management. Bitpanda remains the custodian of your assets.
