Does Bank AI move money on my Monzo account?

No. Bank AI is read-only by design. Transfers, payments and standing orders continue to happen inside Monzo. Bank AI surfaces balances, transactions and recurring totals; every action remains under your control inside the Monzo app.

How does Bank AI connect to Monzo?

Monzo exposes account data via PSD2. Bank AI uses licensed Account Information Service Providers (AISPs) to read balances, transactions and standing orders; Strong Customer Authentication is enforced every 90 days as the rules require.

Are my Monzo Pots surfaced separately in Bank AI?

Yes - each Pot (Holiday, Bills, Tax, Joint with my partner) is read as a distinct sub-balance under your Monzo connection. Pots are never collapsed into the main current-account balance.

Does Bank AI work with Monzo Plus, Premium and Investments?

Yes. The connection is at account level - Plus, Premium and the Investments product (where it exposes balances under Open Banking) are all read identically. The plan's monthly fee is detected as a recurring subscription.

Will my Monzo salary, paid early via Get Paid Early, show correctly?

Yes. Salary credits read like any other inflow. Bank AI tags them as salary income regardless of which day of the month they hit (so the Get Paid Early feature does not split the salary across two periods).

What happens if Monzo raises a connectivity error?

PSD2 connections occasionally require re-authentication (the 90-day SCA refresh) or fail because of a Monzo-side maintenance window. Bank AI shows a clear status pill on the connection and prompts you to re-authenticate without losing any of your data.
